Lake Burton was retired as a damn on December 22, 1919 and now serves as a remote getaway for the vacationer seeking to enjoy the flexibility of simple or sophisticated, adventurous or relaxing, yet always enchanting and always elegant days. Whether you’re into camping, boating, picnics, spa treatments, horseback riding or a simply wasting the day away fishing, Lake Burton is the destination for you. Spanning an amazing 2,775+ acres, Lake Burton is located in the Northeastern section of Rabun County Georgia approximately two short hours away from Atlanta Georgia.
